Nonfiction Novel “Ride to Hell”

The recently take image of a short-cut from
the Rooseveltlaan in Amsterdam to a adjacent
neighborhood was changed to reflect the actual
conditions during WWII.

 

All current objects in the opening were removed
and the pavement was recreated in detail.

The post and bicycles were removed, together
with the forefront tree grill. The image was
changed to black/white, as expected from a
period image.

 

All the modern graffiti was removed from the
granite and bricks. Weeds growing up on the
left side wall were covered with pavement and
bricks. Window curtains were changed as well.
