Rocky Mountain Fabrication RMF

Large steel component construction sites display
all kinds of non-essential equipment, machinery,
and competing elements that are distracting to
the object to be featured in the photograph.

There is no time nor reasons to move the object
to be photographed because it intervenes with
normal production activities, schedules, and
because of its size.

There is no proper size relationship to compare
the product and determine the actual size.

Too many objects are in the background and were
removed - the power towers, with part debris on
the right and on the left of the cone shaped
product, not to forget the mundane sky.

The steel itself was not cleaned up, to preserve
the originality of the cone––normal for such
items kept outside..

A new sky was placed in the picture. Two
workmen are situated to provide a scale
comparison next end in front of the object.

The entire image is cleaned-up and now
focusses on what is to be seen as the product
marketed. The size of the object is clear by
comparison with the men standing and walking.

How can one be sure that this was right? By
personally observing the object in place.
