Sign Systems
This is one of the most productive ads produced
for a one-time placement in a national magazine.
The ad showed the difference between standard
metal real estate and the new fiberglass signs.
Even the company was surprised when the orders
came in - well over $240,000. The ad told the
story, met consumer needs, had explanatory
photos and text, and described the product plain
and simple.
Successful ads do not have to win awards, only
produce a reasonable monetary return.
Black Gold Resources
The Orbitor was a backyard children’s toy to get
the sensation only amusement parks had to offer.
Strapped in place on a seat, the Orbitor tumbled
the child around in circles to get the rush.
The black-and-white full page advertisement did
very well as it displayed the child upside, down
with the all telling smile on his face.
All three ads are story telling displays to show
readers what can be obtained from a quality
product/service.
Artistic Printing Company
When the word “service” is expressed, one of
the thoughts might be associated with a great
meal in a restaurant. To represent that feeling
the magazine ad was designed to reflect that
experience for a customer.
The table was set, featuring a hotdog and
condiments to enhance the taste of the patron.
However, printing inks were used to illustrate
the flavor enhancing items.
An ad needs to subject as many readers as
possible to awaken a desire to see the visual
first and subsequently the message.
