Letterhead, Envelope & Card Design
Most letterheads are formatted with the logo
and company information placed in the top left
corner. This is not a practical way to meet one-
page letter requirements if at all possible.
Most business card ldesigns are void of any
organization––filled with hallow slogans.
Envelopes fall in the same catagory as well.
It is Design Group’s belief that the letterhead
shown on the right provides the better solution,
even though this may not be traditional.
Letterhead Traditional Format
The letterhead on the left shows text cramped on
the first page. The date line is pushed up against
the company logo, with rest of the letter’s text
flowing accordingly. The signature line and title
situated at the very bottom of the letterhead.
This is not an ideal way to show text content,
and leaves an impression of too many words on
one page.
Letterhead Design Group USA - Ideal layout
The same text is used on the letterhead on the
right. It leaves an impression of openness and
“white” space, desirable to create an illusion
of everything having its place.
The layout of the letterhead, the placement of
the company information and the logo in the
right upper corner, provides just the right amount
of space needed for a one page letter.
The text volume and sentence spacing on both
letterheads is the same.
